The team itself consists of dynamic, friendly and passionate experts in the field of education law who work hard to represent and advance the rights of the individual, in the face of challenging circumstances, against educational institutions.

The Further and Higher Education Department, is recognised amongst peers as a leader in the field of higher education law, and the associated fields of fitness to practice and employment law with many years experience in practise. The FHE team’s particular area of expertise lies in assisting students make complaints to the Office of the Independent Adjudicator for Higher Education, assisting students who have had problems during PhD study, matters of plagiarism and alleged misconduct, and bringing claims in breach of contract, negligence and disability discrimination against institutions.

The Schools & Children Team and has a high level of experience in all areas of education law related to children including admissions to schools, exclusions, independent school challenges, special educational needs, school complaints and employment.

Associate Solicitor Chris Barnett, brings with him over 10 years of experience in representing parents in the County and High Court in matters of discrimination, admissions, exclusions and bullying, as well as having a thriving special educational needs practice, having been involved in some of the leading cases over the past ten years.

The legal team is diligently supported by Daniel Boxall, Assistant Practice Manager and Yvonne Sibblies, Practice Administrator who are able to handle any queries in respect of the administrative or financial side of the firm.
