Our clients’ son attended an independent school in 2012-2013. They decided to remove him from school at the end of 2013 because of ongoing bullying of their son in the school that they did not think the school was properly addressing. Our clients received Court papers from the school seeking to claim unpaid fees and costs.
We assisted our clients in responding to the Claim and preparing a Defence. We also corresponded with the school’s solicitors, and were able to negotiate a settlement of the claim under which our clients paid less than half of the amount that the school had been seeking, and no legal costs.
Our clients were happy with the outcome meaning that they did not have to pay the school all the fees they were seeking.
