Match Solicitors is a niche Education Law practice. We act for children, parents, students, teachers, professors, academic doctors against the institutions. We cover the entire spectrum of education law from nursery to post-doctrol programmes.
Our Children and Schools Department undertakes cases in exclusions from school, admissions to school, special educational needs work, bullying in school, discrimination, school complaints, complaints to the Local Government Ombudsman, breach of contract in private schools, non-payment of school fees and negligence.
The Further & Higher Education team assists students against universities and colleges. We provide advice and assistance in internal university appeals including plagiarism, academic misconduct, disciplinary issues, withdrawal from university, discrimination claims, breach of contract and negligence. We have assisted a large number of students with complaints to the Office of the Independent Adjudicator for Higher Education and defended many students before Fitness to Practice Panels for medical, social work and nursing courses.
The Employment Team at Match Solicitors assists teachers, lecturers, academic doctors, professors with general employment issues such as redundancy, unfair dismissal, constructive dismissal, grievances, claims in the Employment Tribunal, and general employment contracts. We have also represented teachers and head teachers before the General Teaching Council.
