The New Exclusion Guide
The Department for Education has recently published the new Exclusion Guide entitled: “Exclusion from maintained schools, Academies and pupil referral units in England: A guide for those with legal responsibilities in relation to exclusion (“the New Guide”)”. This Guide will take effect from 1 September 2012 and will replace the existing statutory guidance entitled: Improving behaviour and attendance: guidance on exclusions for schools and Pupil Referral Units (September 2008) (“the Guidance”).
